On the morning of 26 November 2025, the Faculty of Education hosted an expert lecture in Room 1808 of Sanjiang Building. Professor Yue Wei, Doctoral Supervisor from the Faculty of Teacher Education at Central China Normal University, was specially invited to deliver a keynote address entitled Educational Academic Research and Research Topic Selection. The lecture was chaired by Professor Wang Jiajia, Dean of the Faculty of Teacher Education at Jiangsu University.
Professor Yue Wei systematically elaborated on the core tenets of educational academic research through practical examples and data. He emphasised that educational research topics should prioritise value, foundational principles, design, methodology and feasibility, aligning with educational trends and national policy directions while balancing academic innovation with practical significance.
During the discussion session, Professor Yue engaged with attending faculty members. The presentation featured clear logic and well-defined priorities, integrating policy interpretation, practical guidance, and case analysis. It provided valuable reference for our faculty in conducting educational academic research and determining research topics.
In her concluding remarks, Dean Wang Jiajia noted that this presentation had provided our faculty with invaluable academic experience and research perspectives, holding positive significance for advancing the development of our educational discipline and academic progress.
